Thailand and Myanmar Agree to Cooperate on Heritage Tourism Development

Thailand's Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration has signed a memorandum of understanding with Myanmar authorities to jointly create and promote cultural travel routes connecting historic cities in the two countries. The first phase of the project includes the development of five routes from the Kingdom’s ancient city of U Thong through western Thailand to Tanintharyi, an old city in Myanmar.
