Thailand to Introduce Biometrics Screening at Border Checkpoints

The biometrics system for facial and fingerprint identification of people entering and leaving the country is scheduled for launch on 1 July. A total of 2,000 biometric devices will be installed at 170 spots on land, sea and air to enhance immigration security nationwide.
