Thai visa will cost more

The cost of visa on arrival to Thailand will soon be doubled. The Ministry of Tourism has announced the price of 2000 baht instead of the previous 1000. However, this ruling has not yet entered into force. 

The purpose of the step is to reduce the number of tourists, who want to get a single-entry visa for a minimum term: that is, right at the airport. Large flow of travelers complicates verification of information about them, threatening state security.
