Thailand Intdocues New Rules to Protect Wildlife

02 December 2019

Commencing 1 January 2020, all visitors to Thailand’s national parks will be required to carry their own plastic bags to collect their trash and take it home or leave it in an appropriate roadside trash container. The initiative is part of the nationwide efforts to conserve the environment and save wild animals from plastic waste.

An animal with indigestible plastic in its gut dies a slow and painful death of starvation. A week ago, a wild deer was found dead in a national park in northern Thailand with 7kg of rubbish inside its stomach.
