The Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sport has come up with a plan of collecting fees from foreign visitors for the renovation of tourist attractions and natural landmarks. A workshop has been held to gather opinions from government agencies and companies involved in tourism business. If approved by all the relevant authorities and the Cabinet, the new measure may be implemented during the next season.
